Project Estimator

Looking for a diligent Estimator to prepare accurate project estimates by gathering information and analyzing important factors. The ideal candidate should have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset. He/she must be thorough and apt in communicating and managing relationships with key persons.

General Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly – verbally, in person, and/or in writing – with C-1 prospects/customers who are considering construction work at their residence, commercial business, or the like
• Investigate and evaluate the nature of the damage(s) being claimed or work being requested
• Utilize Xactimate software on a regular basis to complete prospect/customer estimates and scopes
• Work directly with Project Manager or General Contractor to ensure accuracy of estimates before presenting to prospect/customer
• Work directly with Project Manager or General Contractor concerning project scheduling, contract dates, etc.
• Work directly with Sales & Marketing Coordinator and/or administrative staff in receiving and responding to assignments
• Collect payment at contract securement and project completion
• Communicate – verbally, in person, and/or in writing – with prospects/customers, insurance agency staff, insurance adjusters, and others as needed
• Examine/observe C-1 operational processes to develop/share ideas for sustainable growth and improved efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned

General Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• 3-5 years’ experience in similar role is strongly preferred
• Ability to use Xactimate/estimating software and other sound computer skills
• Excellent communication skills and solid writing skills
• Analytical thinking skills needed to properly evaluate damages
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills needed to efficiently handle a large caseload
• Pleasant, patient personality with an ability to work with a wide variety of people
• State-Issued Driver License required
